November 2017- Hope in Artistry: Reducing Stigma and Raising Awareness for Suicide Prevention
This inaugural art show will feature local artists, and will be presented by the Suicide Prevention Coalition and the LOSS Team
at the Ashtabula Arts Center during the month of November.
A reception will be held on Friday, November 17th, 6pm to 8pm.
Art submissions will be accepted at the Ashtabula Arts Center on November 1st and 2nd,
and selected artwork will be displayed November 6th through November 30th.
The show will feature art inspired by those who are surviving loss to suicide, and those who have experience
with depression and suicidal ideation but have found paths to recovery.
While the topic of the show is somber, the intent is that the art will depict the hope of recovery, support, and awareness.
